JB Penn, David Everitt, Len Brand and Frederic Lanes at Lassire Industrie

John Deere Ag President David Everitt and his team traveled from Moline, Illinois to the Ivory Coast in May during their

tour of Africa. They visited the Ivory Coast, Ethiopia, Kenya, and The Gambia.

During their trip to the Ivory Coast they visited a rubber tree plantation where they were shown how rubber is extracted from trees. The plantation uses John Deere tractors for hauling rubber extracts.

The John Deere team then met with the Minister of Agriculture in Ivory Coast to discuss small farmers projects in the country and how John Deere and Lasssire Industrie can assist in development of mechanization plans.

After presentations the day ended with a visit to Lassire Industrie where the John Deere team toured the facilities, equipment and met the Lassire Industrie team.
